  3.   although not often, the gall bladder becomes hardened (calcified) from repeated inflammation as gallstones are 
  4.   passed. People with this "porcelain gall bladder" have a higher risk of developing this cancer than do others. 
  5.   The typical patient with gall bladder cancer is an elderly woman with a history of gall bladder problems.
